What does mobile auto detailing include?
A detail is a defined list of work, not a vague promise to make a car nice. Here is what is on that list inside and out, what normally costs extra, and what detailing cannot do at all.

Inside and outside in one visit, in the order that avoids doing either twice.

The Complete is not the interior service and the exterior service sold together. It is one visit, planned as one job, in a sequence that only works when the same person is doing both halves — and it is the service most people book when a vehicle has been left a while, or when it is about to be sold, handed back or photographed.
The reason it is not simply the sum of the two is the order. Washing a vehicle re-soils a cabin through open doors, so the interior has to come last. Booked separately on two different days, the interior gets done twice or done badly.
Two half-jobs on two days is more time out of your week and a worse result.
What is included
The Interior Detail and the Exterior Detail performed back to back by the same crew, so the whole vehicle is done in a single appointment.
Includes every step of the Interior Detail and the Exterior Detail.
The things a detailer would tell you in person.
Said here rather than discovered on the day.
The shape of it
Why both at once
Four constraints decide the sequence, and every one of them is a reason not to split the work across two appointments.
Brake dust is abrasive, so wheels are done first with their own tools. Nothing that touched a wheel goes near a panel afterward.
A wash puts water and grit through open door shuts. Cleaning the cabin first means cleaning part of it again.
A decontaminated panel is the most vulnerable it will ever be. Protection goes on immediately, in the same visit, not at the next one.
Wheel, shifter, handles and door edges are the last thing done, after every other surface has been handled for the final time.
Who books it
If none of these is you, the interior or exterior service on its own is probably the better value — and we would rather say so.
01
Six months or more without a detail. Both halves need real work, and doing them in one planned visit is faster than two separate recoveries.
02
A lease return, a private sale, a trade-in appraisal. The first impression is the whole vehicle rather than one half of it.
03
The first visit is always the longest. A Complete is the usual starting point before moving to a maintenance rhythm on a shorter service.
04
Decontaminating and protecting paint that has not yet picked up anything, and treating an interior before it has taken its first spill.
Scope
The full step list is above. This is the line between what the service covers and what is separate work, stated before you book rather than discovered on the day.
Eligible vehicles
Any road vehicle with an interior and painted bodywork. The larger it is the longer both halves take, which is the whole reason the figure moves with the vehicle.
Request a quote for specialized or oversized vehicles, and we will price it from the measurement rather than from a category.

On the day
We look at the vehicle with you and agree what it needs. If it needs more than it was booked for, the figure is put to you then rather than added afterward.
Wheels, wash, decontamination, dry, protect — then the cabin, top down. Nothing is cleaned twice because nothing is cleaned out of order.
Together if you are there, photographed if you are not. Anything missed is far easier to put right in the first five minutes than the next day.

A service page says what the work consists of. A vehicle page says what is different about the thing it is being done to, and an article goes into one part of it properly.

A detail is a defined list of work, not a vague promise to make a car nice. Here is what is on that list inside and out, what normally costs extra, and what detailing cannot do at all.

Both clean the inside of a car. Only one of them gets into the foam. Here is how to tell which your vehicle needs before you book, and what each one can and cannot remove.

There is no single correct interval, and anyone who gives you one is guessing. What there is, is a short list of factors that decide it — and they are all things you already know about your own vehicle.
Not quite it?
Each one carries its own checklist, so the comparison is here rather than back on the services page.

Questions
Not quite. The step lists overlap, but a Complete is planned as one job in one sequence: wheels first, paint decontaminated and protected, cabin last. Booked as two separate appointments on two days, the interior work gets partly undone by the wash, so it is genuinely a different job rather than two invoices stapled together.
Longer than either half on its own and less than both booked separately, because nothing is repeated. Size and condition both move it, and the booking flow reserves the block your vehicle actually needs from what you tell us about it.
No. Plenty of Complete details happen while somebody is at work. Leave us access to the vehicle and anything we need to reach it — a gate code, a garage remote, a parking pass — and we will send photographs and lock it back exactly where it started.
We stop and put the figure to you before doing it. The system cannot capture an amount nobody has approved, so the worst case is that we do what was booked and tell you what we found.
Usually yes, and it is one of the few cases where the arithmetic is straightforward — a buyer forms an opinion of how a vehicle was looked after in the first thirty seconds. Paint correction on a car you are selling is a different question and rarely returns its cost.
Most people use a Complete as the reset and then keep the vehicle on something shorter. Where the interval lands depends on where it is parked, what rides in it and how far you drive — the Recurring care page sets out how a schedule is chosen.
