Detail with Detail Gents
We handle the marketing, the scheduling and the money. You detail.
Before you accept
No mystery cars
You see all of it before you decide. Accepting a job on this platform is never accepting a ZIP code and a hope.
The job card
7 fields, every job
- Vehicle
- Year, make, model and the size class it was priced as.
- Service
- Which detail was booked, with the full checklist that comes with it.
- Condition
- What the customer said about the state of it, and the factors they flagged — pet hair, stains, sand, smoke.
- Add-ons
- Extraction, odour treatment, engine bay, whatever was ticked and paid for.
- Time blocked
- The full duration reserved for the job, including the minutes the condition added.
- Where and when
- The arrival window, the location type, and the access notes the customer wrote.
- Payout
- The figure for this job, and any approved adjustment, before you accept it.
We are not going to publish an average pay rate on a recruitment page. What a job pays depends on the work in it, and the figure that matters is the one on the job in front of you.

And once it is done
There is no approval queue at the end. Finish those five and your account switches itself on — no waiting for somebody in an office to notice you.
Every job open inside your radius is on your board, and you choose. Nothing is hidden behind a ranking, a history or an invitation.
You are not chasing anyone for money. You see what each job pays before you accept it, and that figure is what gets paid — with the real state of it at every step, from earned to in your bank.
You can look at the work near you while you are still setting up, so you can see whether it is worth finishing before you do.
What we ask for
The bar
- You take pride in the finish, not just the turnaround time
- You have the equipment to do the work, or you are joining a team that does
- You can pass a photo-ID check, run by Stripe
- You turn up inside the window and say so early when something changes
The last one matters more than it sounds. A customer has given up a morning and left a vehicle where we asked them to leave it; an arrival window is a promise somebody is already arranging their day around.
Onboarding
Five stages, and then you are on
Your account
Your name, email and phone — or your company name and the one person who signs for it. We verify the email and the phone, and that is all we ask at this stage.
Where you work
Your base ZIP code and how far you will travel, up to 50 miles. You see the towns that covers and how many jobs are open in it before you commit to a number.
Identity check
A photo ID and a selfie, handled by Stripe. Your documents never reach Detail Gents — we are told whether it passed, and nothing else.
Provider agreement
The terms you work under, in full, on one page. You type your name and tick a box, and you can download your accepted copy any time.
Getting paid
You connect a payout account through Stripe, which collects your bank details directly. We only ever see your bank’s name and the last four digits.
Applying
Capacity opens area by area
We take detailers on as demand in an area justifies it, so the detailers already working stay busy. Dallas–Fort Worth and Houston are live today. Applying takes about two minutes: who you are, where you are based and how far you will travel. Everything else — what you are signed off for, your paperwork, how you get paid — is saved as you go and can be finished later.
