Vehicle care without the errand

We detail vehicles across Dallas–Fort Worth and Houston. Yours never leaves you.

Why this exists

Three reasons people put it off

Most people do not avoid detailing because they stopped caring about the vehicle. They avoid it because it costs half a Saturday, because the vehicle has to be dropped somewhere and collected again, and because the number they are quoted has very little to do with the work that gets done.

Detail Gents was built to remove all three. The vehicle stays where it is. The price is worked out from what you actually drive and the state it is actually in, before you commit to anything. And the appointment is a real window with the whole job reserved behind it, rather than an optimistic guess that has us three hours late by lunchtime.

The work is slower than it needs to be, on purpose. That is the entire product.

A two-bucket wash with the media rinsed between panels takes longer than one bucket and a sponge. Doing the interior last, after the wash, means handling the vehicle twice. Blocking the full duration means selling fewer slots in a day. Every one of those choices costs us something, and each is the difference between a vehicle that looks clean this afternoon and paint that still looks right in a year.

What to expect

Four things you can hold us to

Each of these is enforced by how the booking system is built rather than by how hard somebody is trying on the day. That is the only kind of promise worth making.

  1. An arrival window that is real

You choose from windows we genuinely have open, with the whole job reserved behind it. Nothing is offered that we cannot staff, and if something changes you hear it from us first.

  2. A price before you commit

Worked out from the vehicle you actually have and the condition it is actually in, itemized, and shown in full before you confirm. Nothing is preselected.

  3. The same order of work, every time

Wheels first, paint decontaminated before anything touches it, interior last. A tenth visit runs exactly like a first one, on a compact sedan and on a coach.

  4. Nothing added without your say-so

If a vehicle needs more than it was booked for, we stop and put the figure to you. The system cannot capture an amount nobody has approved.

Where we draw the line

Four things we will not do

Check every one of them against the rest of this site. If a page here states a price or a policy we have not published, that is a broken promise you can see.

  • We will not invent a number

Where a price, a fee or a policy has not been settled, this site says so. A company that will make up a figure for a web page will make one up for an invoice.

  • We will not price what we have not seen

Coatings, paint correction, mold and flood damage do not belong in an online checkout. They are looked at in person and quoted in writing, or they are not booked.

  • We will not add work you did not agree to

If the vehicle needs more than it was booked for, we stop and put the figure to you. The system cannot capture an amount nobody approved.

  • We will not take a job we cannot do well

A window we cannot staff properly, a site with nowhere to work, a finish that detailing genuinely cannot deliver. Saying no to those is how the rest of the diary stays honest.

Leadership

The person who started it

Detail Gents is a direct service provider rather than a booking layer over somebody else’s work, and the person who set that up is the person accountable for it.

Founder & CEO

Chiedu Kabakwu is the founder and CEO of Detail Gents. He created the company to make professional vehicle care more convenient, dependable and accessible for busy vehicle owners and businesses. His vision is to combine skilled detailing, straightforward online booking and responsive customer service in one trusted mobile experience.

Why he founded Detail Gents

Chiedu founded Detail Gents after recognizing that many vehicle owners want professional results but do not have time to drive to a detailing shop, wait for service or coordinate multiple providers. Detail Gents was built to remove that friction by bringing professional detailing directly to homes, workplaces and fleet locations while maintaining a consistent standard of service.

How it is put together

A detailer, a van, and your driveway

There is no shop to visit, because there does not need to be one. Everything the work requires travels with us.

  • Two Detail Gents detailers in branded uniforms standing beside a blue sedan they have just finished drying

Our own detailers, not passing contractors

Every detailer is screened, insured and approved before a single customer booking is visible to them, and one detailer takes a whole vehicle from start to finish.

  • The rear doors of a Detail Gents van open, showing the hose reel, generator and extractor stowed inside

A van that is a workshop

Water, power, extraction, polishing and drying equipment all travel with us, so the standard does not drop because the job is happening on a driveway instead of in a shop.

  • Two Detail Gents detailers drying a blue sedan in an office park parking lot beside a branded van

    The vehicle never leaves you

Home, an apartment lot, an office park, a yard. No drop-off, no courtesy car, no afternoon spent in a waiting room with a coffee machine.

  • Our vans carry their own water and power, so nothing is asked of your property
  • One detailer takes a vehicle start to finish, rather than passing it along a line
  • Exterior work moves in rain, freezing temperatures or high wind, because doing it anyway means doing it twice
  • The vehicle goes back exactly where we found it, locked, with photographs if you were not there

What we take on

Not everything we detail has four wheels

Five categories, each scoped differently. A car is a body style; a boat, a motorhome and a trailer are a number of feet, and we ask for whichever one is true.

Fleets, dealership lots and employee parking are handled as a scheduled route rather than as separate bookings. See how fleet work runs.

Where we work

Dallas–Fort Worth and Houston, today

A market opens when we have enough detailers and vans in it to hold the standard on a busy week, and not before. That is why the list is short and why it is honest.

Coverage inside a market is set ZIP code by ZIP code rather than by city name, so the booking flow is the only thing that can answer the question for certain.
