How this page works
The rules we wrote down first
A reviews page is the easiest page on a website to lie on, and nobody can check it from outside. So these are the four rules this one is held to — set before there was anything to show, which is the only time they can be set honestly.
Only after a finished job
A review can only be written by somebody whose booking was completed, and it is tied to that booking. There is no form on this page for a reason: anyone could fill it in.
The average is over what you can see
Publishing needs the customer’s consent, so the figure is the average of the reviews on this page rather than of every one ever written. A number you cannot check against the list under it is not evidence.
Paid reviews say so, on the review
Where reward points were earned for writing, that review carries the disclosure. The points are the same whatever the rating, and they are never taken back for a review we would rather not read.

No review has been published here yet. That is a fact about how new this is rather than about the work, and the alternative — a page of testimonials nobody wrote — is the single most common lie on a small business website.
Until there is something on this page, the honest things to judge us on are the ones we have actually put in writing: the standard every job is held to and what happens when it is not met, the checklist each service runs to, and who is doing the work.
