Why they are separate
Four things that actually differ
The standard of work does not change between categories. Almost everything else about how a job is scoped does.
How the size is expressed
A car is a body style. A boat, a motorhome and a trailer are a number of feet. We ask for whichever one is true, because a category price across an eighteen-foot and a forty-foot example of the same thing is meaningless.
What the surfaces are made of
Clear coat, gelcoat, anodized aluminum, marine vinyl, acrylic canvas and polished chrome each need different products, and at least three of them are ruined by things most people already own.
Where the work can happen
A driveway, a storage yard, a slip, a terminal. Access rules parts of a job in or out before anything about the vehicle matters — a boat in the water cannot have its hull touched.
When the vehicle is available
A car is parked most of the day. A tractor unit earns while it moves and a boat may be under shrink wrap for five months. The schedule is part of the scope, not an afterthought.

Golf carts, horse trailers, food trucks, farm equipment, aircraft interiors. Some of these we do and some we do not, and the honest answer depends on access, water and whether we can hold our standard on it.
